Itinerary
Day 1 :
ARRIVAL TO GANGTOK
Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport(IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) - our representative will be there to receive you, he will be assisting you for the transfer to Gangtok (120 Km / 4 to 5 Hrs). Sikkim is one of the most beautiful states in India located in Eastern Himalaya and surrounded by high mountains and deep valleys in between Tibet in the north, Bhutan in the East and Nepal in the West. On arrival at Gangtok, check-in at your hotel. In the evening you are free to roam around the famous M.G. Marg and enjoy the blissful vibes of Gangtok.
Day 2 :
EXCURSION TO TSOMGO (CHANGU) LAKE AND BABA MANDIR (Opt. Nathula)
After having your breakfast this morning, start your trip for a memorable excursion to the Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. /44 km). This is one of the highest altitudes Himalayan Lake which is a beautiful oval shape lake almost 1 km long with its average depth 50 ft and situated in East Sikkim District. Tsomgo Lake is one of the holy region. A temple of lord Shiva is built on the lake side. Primula flowers and other alpine plantation provide an immaculate beauty to this place. Afterward, proceed for Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (13,000 ft/15 km/30 minute). After visiting Baba Mandir, get back to Gangtok. Evening one is free to stroll around MG Road or Local Market.
NOTE: One can opt for Nathula Excursion by paying a supplement cost. Nathula permit gets confirmed 24 hrs prior to the journey date & it is subjected to permit availability. Nathula is closed on Monday & Tuesday for tourist. Organizing the permit at the last moment is not possible & a clear window of 72 Hrs with proper documents is required to process the permit. There is no refund, in case the permit is confirmed by Sikkim tourism & due to whatsoever reason (Land slide, Heavy rain fall, VIP Movement, Health issue etc) one is not able to visit.
Day 3 :
GANGTOK TO LACHUNG
After breakfast departure for Lachung (8610 ft./135km/6 hours), it has been described as the ‘most picturesque village of Sikkim’ by Joseph Dalton in his ‘Himalayan Journal’ (1855), situated in North Sikkim. Lachung is an exquisite valley town resplendent in its crown of the snow-capped mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, and sparkling streams. After arrival at Lachung check-in at your hotel/home stay, spend the night in Lachung.
Day 4 :
VISIT YUMTHANG VALLEY AND TRANSFER TO GANGTOK (Optional Zero Point)
Early Morning after breakfast, you will be visiting Yumthang valley also known as the Valley of Flowers. Photographs of the natural scenes of Switzerland and Yumthang valley look so similar that it is difficult to distinguish between them. Yumthang which is at an altitude of 3658m (12000 ft) is situated about 135 kilometers from Gangtok in North Sikkim. But going there is like traveling 135 years back in time – it is so remote and almost untouched by the vagaries of civilization. Yumthang is located some 26 km away from Lachung. Where the tree line ends, the valley erupts in multi-colored meadows of flowers of Primula, Rhododendron, and other alpine flowers. You can visit Zero Point by paying a supplementary cost of INR 4000/- per vehicle. You will then return to Lachung for lunch and take a transfer to Gangtok. Arrive at Gangtok and check-in to your hotel/homestay.
Day 5 :
DEPARTURE FROM GANGTOK TO IXB/NJP
Today is the farewell day of your magnificent tour so do spare a few minutes of your valuable time and write to tell us how much you enjoyed the tour. Today with many wonderful memories of your trip drive down to Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward destination.
